Intro to Music Theory

Fall 2026: This course is designed for music students in grades 5-12 wishing to deepen understanding and fluency in sight-reading and ensemble involvement.

Course content will cover basic note and rhythm reading, key signature identification, introductory solfege sight-singing, and other performance and musicianship exercises, including aural identification. Light homework will be assigned each week.

The class will meet with Perri Kiser from 10:00-10:55am on Tuesday mornings at the Fayetteville studio.

Advanced Chamber

The advanced chamber course is available for string and piano students at an early-advanced level looking to progress in their ensemble performance experience. This course is designed for students who are committed to a consistent practice schedule outside of lessons.

Students must be fluent sight-readers with an interest in studying repertoire from the literature and performing in the community. For string students, the level typically corresponds to Suzuki Book 4 and beyond.

Chamber groups are recommended and formed by the instructor and are subject to availability.

The course will meet for 10 sessions from October through December 2026. Course dates are listed below:
